It was a Saturday morning, and we had to wake up early to make it to the project at Lake Chauncy. The project was to build a gazebo by lake chance. The project’s first day was to pour concrete into the 6ft deep holes. So, we started the project off with being told how to open the concrete bags and how to work the big machine. I was told to start by opening some of the concrete bags alongside some other people. After that job I was told to go help shovel the concrete into the holes. This by far was my favorite of the jobs. The second project-day was to help with the framing and wood work. This day was the harder out of the two. We started off by hammering in some nails into the frame for some braces to support the structure. Then, we went on to placing wood planks vertically. After a while, we started to place the floorboards and the rail around the gazebo. Once you step on it you get a beautiful and stunning view of the lake.
YiS, Hunter Felton Hey everyone! The next batch of mumbles, coming sometime between January and February, will be rated for patrol points. Readers of the articles can pitch in their thoughts by leaving a “like” on their favorite article from the month. Ultimately, the leadership patrol and I will have the final say on who gets the HUGE point payout.
YiS, Chris Fernandes Boy Scouts is a lot like Ayo’s journey. In the beginning, you’re a young, inexperienced Dik-Dik. But when you get your first rank, you become brave and try new things, like how Ayo stands up to Kra. Lastly, when you get first class you become brave, experienced, and ready to take on the mental trauma that Ayo goes through.
YiS, David Wowwee! Turkey feast was exhilarating! We definitely cooked up quite a feast for all of our family and friends. Oh, and we played sports? What a day! Everyone should go to turkey feast next year so you all can watch me crush all the other patrols in the turkey games!!!!!!!!!!!
The BEST patrol leader, Ben Bartlet For the past few months, I have been in a struggle. I have been working hard to obtain the rank of Tenderfoot, but there has been a lot of struggles. One of the struggles I have faced in my ongoing quest for tenderfoot include the problem of finding the correct items for a first aid kit while at summer camp a problem. I cleverly bought what I needed from the trading post. There have been lots of struggles as I try to obtain the rank of Tenderfoot but even through the problems I have faced, I still find scouting enjoyable.
